Product Description
Diethanolamine, CAS No. 111-42-2, its common molecular formula is (HOCH2CH2) 2NH, and its
molecular weight is 105.14.
Application:
- 1.Mainly used as absorbent for acidic gases such as CO2, H2S, and SO2, nonionic surfactant,
emulsifier, polishing agent, industrial gas purification agent, and lubricant. Iminodiethanolamine,
also known as diethanolamine, is an intermediate of the herbicide glyphosate. It is used as a
purifying agent for gases and as a raw material for synthetic drugs and organic synthesis.
2.Morpholine and diethanolamine are intermediates of organic synthesis, for example, they can be
used to produce certain optical bleaching agents in the textile industry, the fatty acid salts of
morpholine can be used as preservatives, and morpholine can also be used to produce the central
inhibitory drug formoxydine or as a solvent. Diethanolamine is used in analytical chemistry as a
reagent and as a stationary liquid for gas chromatography, selectively retaining and separating
alcohols, glycols, amines, pyridines, quinolines, piperazines, mercaptans, thioethers, and water.
3.Diethanolamine is an important corrosion inhibitor that can be used in boiler water treatment,
automotive engine coolant, drilling and cutting oils, and other types of lubricating oils to play a
corrosion inhibiting role. It is also used as an absorbent for purifying acidic gases in natural gas.
Used as an emulsifier in various cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. In the textile industry, it can also
be used as a lubricant, wetting agent, softener, and other organic synthesis materials.
4.Used as an acid absorbent, plasticizer, softener, emulsifier, etc. in adhesives. It is also used as
an absorbent for acidic gases (such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, etc.) in petroleum gas,
natural gas, and other gases. It is a raw material for synthesizing pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dye
intermediates, and surfactants. Used as an emulsifier for oils and waxes under acidic conditions,
and as a softener for leather and synthetic fibers. Used as thickener and foam improver in shampoo
and light detergent. It is also used as a detergent, lubricant, brightener, and dust remover for engine
pistons.
5.Used as a complexing agent for silver plating, cadmium plating, lead plating, zinc plating, etc.
6.Used as analytical reagents, acid gas absorbents, softeners and lubricants, and in organic
synthesis.
